Projects in our portfolio range from kitchens and bathrooms to full apartment and house refurbishments. We will design and specify your new interior, then manage the build stage using one of our preferred contractors including architects, structural engineers, upholsterers, carpenters and plumbers. If your requirements are less, we will happily design your project and leave you to put it in place, but we are always on hand if you need a little help.

Our Design Director Andrew Dunning has been an Interior Designer for nearly 20 years. He believes in building smart, liveable interiors for his clients. A well-established, award-winning interiors expert, he has written a respected industry blog for many years and contributes to publications such as The Times Bricks and Mortar, Kitchens Bedrooms and Bathrooms, and The Daily Mail.

OUR PROCESS

London Contemporary is an interior design studio delivering a full interiors service to our clients in London and beyond. Our portfolio of experience encompasses London houses and apartments, country homes, as well as overseas boltholes.

We are supremely flexible, we don’t have a house style, and we don’t follow trends. Each project starts with a blank sheet and your interiors are designed exclusively for you. We deliver you a home with a style you’ll enjoy for many years to come, by delivering high quality, carefully considered design with quality fixtures and fittings – and always with an eye on the details.

Step 1

STEP 1

We speak to you on the phone about your needs and aspirations, before viewing your property and discussing the project in more detail. We then take a measured survey and create proposed plans.

Step 2

STEP 2

We complete further research based on your desired outcome, then create first level design boards showing comprehensive design schemes. Our lead designer presents this to you and any feedback is taken on board.

Step 3

STEP 3

More detailed design boards, proposed plans and an extensive schedule are created based on your feedback, before our lead designer delivers the updated presentation to you.

Step 4

STEP 4

We obtain preplanning and write a draft scope of building works. Design boards, proposed plans and a detailed schedule are updated based on any further feedback. Once you’re happy, you sign off the plans and design.

Step 5

STEP 5

We submit planning application. The scope of works is complete and builder tender begins. A builder is selected, the work starts, and the project is managed by our in-house team every step of the way.
